INTERCONNECTION SERVICES

EXPLORE CROSS CONNECTS, THIRD-PARTY CARRIER ACCESS, AND FOR HIGH-PERFORMANCE DATA CENTER CONNECTIVITY.

CENTRA Digital offers robust interconnection solutions to support high-performance connectivity within and beyond the data center. Customers can establish private and secure links between systems, service providers, and external networks using cross connects, third-party carrier circuits, and CENTRA Internet Access (CIA) services.

For information on how to order or modify interconnection services, please refer to:

Cross Connects

Cross Connects enable direct point-to-point connectivity between two parties within the same CENTRA data center. These low-latency connections are ideal for linking customer environments, cloud on-ramps, internet exchanges, and carrier circuits.

Supported media types include:

  • Single-mode and multi-mode fiber
  • Copper (Cat5e, Cat6, coax, etc.)

Typical use cases:

  • Customer-to-customer peering
  • Customer-to-cloud connectivity
  • Customer-to-carrier or ISP connectivity
  • Redundant network paths for high availability

Cross Connects are delivered to the customer’s designated demarcation point or cabinet, based on the technical specifications submitted during the service order process.

Third-Party Carrier Access

CENTRA operates carrier-neutral facilities and supports the delivery of circuits from a wide range of telecommunications and internet service providers.

Key features include:

  • 24/7 access for authorized third-party carriers
  • Support for circuit turn-up and testing coordination
  • Customer retains direct relationship with the carrier, including service contracts and SLAs

To facilitate provisioning, customers are encouraged to order Cross Connects from CENTRA as soon as a Letter of Authorization (LOA) or Circuit Facility Assignment (CFA) is received from their chosen carrier.

Demarcation and Delivery Details

All interconnection services are terminated at a CENTRA-designated demarcation point in your space or cabinet. To ensure accurate and timely delivery, CENTRA requires specific technical details including:

  • Media type
  • Circuit ID(s)
  • Carrier name
  • LOA/CFA documentation (if applicable)
  • Cabinet/grid location
