HOW TO COORDINATE DATA CENTER TOURS
FIND OUT HOW TO SCHEDULE AND PREPARE FOR A TOUR OF A CENTRA DATA CENTER FACILITY, INCLUDING VISITOR REGISTRATION AND ACCESS RESTRICTIONS.
CENTRA Digital welcomes prospective and existing customers to tour its data center facilities. Tours are a great way to understand CENTRA’s infrastructure, security protocols, and operational standards. This article outlines the process for requesting and coordinating a visit to one of our data centers.
Tours are available by appointment only and must be scheduled in advance to ensure availability and proper preparation.
Tour Types
CENTRA supports several types of tours, including:
- Sales and Prospect Tours - For prospective customers evaluating CENTRA services or site capabilities
- General Customer Tours - For existing customers to familiarize internal stakeholders or technical teams with their deployments
- Auditor Tours - For customers undergoing audits that require physical inspection or verification of infrastructure
How to Request a Tour
To request a tour, please follow these steps:
- Open a support ticket through your Customer Success Manager or by emailing help@centradigital.com
- Include the following information in your request:
- Desired date and time of the tour
- Number of attendees
- Purpose of the tour (e.g., sales evaluation, audit)
- Any special access requirements
- The CENTRA NOC (Network Operations Center) will coordinate with your Account Team and confirm availability
Visitor Registration
Once a tour date is confirmed, all visitors must be registered in advance:
- Provide each visitor’s full name and company affiliation
- Visitors must present a valid government-issued photo ID upon arrival
- CENTRA will issue temporary access badges for the duration of the tour
Only registered and approved individuals will be permitted entry.
Restricted Areas and Additional Notes
For security and safety reasons, visitors are not permitted to enter the following sensitive infrastructure areas:
- Electrical Equipment Rooms
- Main Distribution Frame (MDF), Intermediate Distribution Frame (IDF), or Meet-Me Rooms (MMRs)
- Mechanical Galleries
- Storage Rooms not assigned to the customer
Your tour guide will ensure that the tour remains within approved zones while still showcasing the relevant features of the facility.
- Certified service animals are permitted, per CENTRA’s Security and Access Policy
- Photography or video recording may be restricted based on facility policy
- Tours may be canceled or rescheduled in the event of operational or security concerns
